Intended Runners For This Week 06/11/2012
lukeschembri , Tuesday 06 November 2012 - 14:06:20 //

After an exciting week at Tattersalls last week buying two new recruits; Claude Monet and Spring Tonic it is business as usual this week with Clear Praise running well yesterday at Wolverhampton and Squad and Litmus running later in the week.

Clear Praise ran in the 16.55 wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap at Wolverhampton over 5f under Seb Sanders. Given the car park draw Clear Praise had it all to do before the gates had even opened. The five year old gelding broke well from stall 13 and was stoked along early to try and keep tabs on the leaders. He was trapped wide throughout the race and coming around the home turn the whole field fanned across the track giving him plenty of ground to make up. He stayed on very well up the straight and did exceptionally to grab fourth.
Squad is intended to run in the 17.50 32Red.com Handicap at Wolverhampton on Thursday over 1m 6f and will be ridden by Tody Atkinson who claims 5lb. This son of Choisir seems to be thriving at present, winning at Kempton over 2m on his penultimate start when ridden by Neil Callan with significant ease and then recording another good performance when arguably unlucky at Lingfield under the same pilot. That day he had to come round the winner in the home straight and was then carried across the track as the winner hung right. He continues to be in good form and is training well. He is on a career high mark now so will have to improve again but we are hopeful of another creditable performance.
Litmus could run on Friday at Wolverhampton in the Find Us On Facebook Wolverhampton Racecourse Classified Stakes over 1m 1f. This three year old filly was purchased from Juddmonte Farms after just two starts. She has only had three starts for the yard and ran a respectable race last time out at Kempton under Neil Callan. She finished fifth of thirteen that day and was only 7 lengths behind the winner. She is a filly with a very good temperament and appears to be improving with her races so we are hoping she can improve once again.
